At The Haven, we believe that a fairer food system enhances the health of both people and the planet. Our focus on health and well-being extends beyond merely improving access to food; it also emphasises what you can create with it.
Through collaborative partnerships and previous funding opportunities, The Haven has conducted cooking classes aimed at enhancing culinary skills, combating social isolation, and reducing food waste. Excess food from our Larder was transformed into jams, chutneys, and pickles. This initiative continues with the ongoing offering of cooking classes and fermentation-focused workshops, featuring kombucha, sauerkraut, and kimchi.
Join us as we empower our community to make the most of food, fostering skills that promote sustainability and connection.
