We’ve delivered almost 40 different events (totalling 332 sessions) in response to community feedback.
What We’ve Observed:
Connection – bringing people together through their common interests, to form meaningful social connections which reach beyond The Haven’s realm. The New Mums’ groups are great examples of this new-found peer support network in action.
Growth – improvement in skills, confidence and wellbeing through attending workshops and classes. This has been particularly evident in beneficiaries attending our growing and cooking courses & workshops.
Empowerment – project beneficiaries becoming volunteers, and in turn, helping deliver their priorities of what’s on offer on the Community Wellbeing Project. Our recent Kimchi/Ferment Workshop was created in response to a request from an empowered beneficiary/volunteer.
