“Vision Quest: The Haven’s Journey to find our Vision”

At The Haven we took the opportunity to pause, reflect, and reset our vision for community wellbeing during the pandemic. Our community’s wellbeing needs had changed and we had to shift with it. Recognising the importance of community input, we embarked on a journey of dialogue and collaboration to redefine our vision and direction..

As the world grappled with the impacts of the pandemic, we saw an opportunity to hit the reset button and engage our community in a meaningful conversation about the future. We reached out to our members, volunteers, and stakeholders, inviting them to share their perspectives on what community wellbeing truly means to them.

Through virtual meetings, consultations, and focus groups, we listened actively to the voices of our community. We heard stories of resilience, compassion, and solidarity, as well as concerns about the pressing issues facing our communities. With this invaluable feedback, we set out to redefine our vision for community wellbeing.

Our vision emerged as a collective aspiration to nurture flourishing communities where everyone feels supported, included, and belongs. This vision reflects our shared commitment to building strong, resilient communities that prioritise the wellbeing of all their members.

At the heart of our vision is the belief that true community wellbeing is achieved through collective action. We recognise the importance of nurturing connections, building relationships, and creating spaces where everyone feels safe, valued and heard. By embracing inclusivity, compassion, and authenticity, we strive to create a world where every individual can thrive.

As we navigate the road ahead, we are guided by our vision and commitment to community wellbeing. We are dedicated to working collaboratively with our community to address the challenges we face and be the change we want to see.
