Haven Wellbeing Training Terms & Conditions

Booking:

A non-refundable deposit of £100 is required at the time of booking to secure your place. Full payment must be made no later than 30 days before the course start date. Failure to do so may result in forfeiting your place. Selection for the course is not based on a first-come-first-served basis but on a review of your application to ensure a good fit with our training school. We reserve the right to refuse a place to applicants who have not paid the deposit or full fees by the required date.

Fees:

Included: 

  • Training and assessment by a qualified Yoga Alliance Professionals SYT.
  • A comprehensive course manual and related materials. 

Not included: 

  • Travel
  • Accommodation
  • Food costs.
  • Insurance 

Payment Options:

Two payment options are available: 

  1. Full payment of £400 upfront.
  2. A 50% reduced payment of £200 upfront, with the remaining £200 covered by volunteering at the Haven (full payment of £400 is still required upfront, and the £200 will be reimbursed upon completion of volunteer hours). The £200 reimbursement will not be issued for incomplete volunteer hours or training, and no pro-rated refunds will be given.

Refund Policy:

The £100 deposit is non-refundable under any circumstances.

In case of cancellation, the following applies:

  • More than 30 days before the course start date: full refund minus the deposit. 
  • Less than 30 days before the course start date: no refund will be issued.
  • If a student leaves the course early, refunds will not be provided unless in exceptional circumstances, subject to review.

Course Attendance and Completion:

  • 100% attendance is expected to complete the course.
  •  A minimum of 80% attendance may be accepted under mitigating circumstances, provided sufficient evidence is given.
  • All assignments must be completed within 3 months of the official end date of the course. Extensions may be granted in the case of unforeseen circumstances, with proper documentation.
  • Additional charges may apply for re-sitting assessments.
  • Students are expected to engage in regular personal practice throughout the course.

Cancellation by Haven Wellbeing:

In the event of course cancellation, students will be notified at least 14 days prior to the start date, except in cases of unforeseen circumstances such as COVID-19.

The course may be rescheduled or cancelled due to insufficient enrolment or other unforeseen situations. 

In the event of cancellation, students will receive a full refund of any payments made, excluding the deposit.

Complaints Procedure:

Stage 1: If a complaint arises, we encourage an informal chat with the course trainer to resolve the issue on the same day.

Stage 2: If the issue remains unresolved, the complaint should be submitted in writing to the Haven Wellbeing team. We will acknowledge the complaint within 7 days and aim to respond fully within 21 days.

Stage 3: If the complaint cannot be resolved within 21 days, we will provide a written explanation with a new date for a final response.

We welcome advocates, friends, or interpreters to support students during the complaint process, if needed.
